What happened to 'klakpigeons' and the other names he sold under. :-/ My favourite is ' WINNER FOR SALE ........ 15th club from 58 birds' add a couple of photo's and some poor novice conned again. These people need to be exposed for what they are. This kind of fraud/ deception whatever you want to call it is damaging the sport. Paul.
hepste Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Chriss, I think from a legal standpoint, you are breaking the law having any such list. You may recall that recently, a private company listed persons within the construction industry who were considered by them to be "Bad risk" employees. The list was based on unsubstantiated reports of the individuals, regularly going sick, turning up late etc. It was deemed unlawful. It is a difficult one. Everyone should be aware that you cannot be prosecuted for telling the truth. Any claims made about someone, should be able to be corroborated. I do feel sorry for some people who take on trust sellers claims, either because they are economical with the truth, or tell blatant lies. For me, I don't believe in flying saucers, until I see a flying saucer. If someone tells me his birds are top performers, show me (in person) the cards, when they were won (not 10 yeras ago), against how many birds, at what distance etc. For example, I certainly ain't going to accept some vague photo of rows of prize cards that I can't read. Some people are too trusting, and some people are too plausible. There are some hard lessons to learn in life, and the sooner one becomes aware of the pitfalls, the better.

There are some on here, who feel a genuine obligation to highlight some of their reservations concerning the authenticity of some people's claims. Not for personal gain or reasons, but because they see injustices being done. I agree that these comments also should not be taken at face value. Nor should that person be victimised for expressing a view, that may weel save someone from wasting hard earned cash.

Guest Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 Why can't it be like the system employed by the Licensed Trade in Public Houses which is endorsed by the Police Force. If a known trouble maker is barred from a given pub for Drunken or disorderly behaviour or substance abuse, the Landlord of that establishment informs ALL other Publicans in the area, along with the Local Police Force of their actions against the offender with the reason for taking that action. This is legal and above board and protects both Landlords and their customers from known offenders. So why can't this be adopted in the world of pigeons to protect our members from con merchants who feed of the ignorance of those who are not in the know.

THAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM, they were sold to our "dubious" friend WITHOUT PEDIGREES, any pedigrees you get will NOT be from Ingram & Langton, any details must have , if i understand correctly, been added by someone else, why do you think they were removed, you NEVER get a pedigree with Shanes birds, that way you he doesnt get the ring numbers of his stock birds plastered all over the internet (theives in the night and all that)
chickadee Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 If I or another member accuses someone of something then it is poster that stands to questioned whether it is correct, wrong, just casing trouble or alerting members etc, not the site surely. I would rather it any accusations for or against me were posted on the site and I was given a chance to prove it right or wrong, back room/PM accusations are worse as you do not know what is being said against you and can cause a lot of trouble for innocent members by people who are out to discredit you, I have personally found this out the hard way and if I was to post the facts I am sure they would be removed :-/

And why do you always like to stir chrisss?? yes i unlocked it after a disscussion with mick bowler, and yes i did state he left under mutual consent, as that was the case, and his account was dissabled. He did not leave by his own choice as you put it :-). He cant reply to the accusations, so therefore please leave it :-)
