If i had known when previous meetings were taken place i would have most certainly have been there, there has to be communication Wullie and not just pass the word on down the line, surely one of the delegates could use Pigeonbasics as a means for doing this.

 

Didn't join last year as the 5 bird club was only for training purposes so feel I would be a bit of a hypocrite if i came to the meeting this year then not join because of the status quo.

 

All the best what ever the 5 bird club decide to do.

That has been 1 of the biggest problems in the 5 bird club for the past few years now :X Sometimes the training has been cancelled on a tue or wed and they have went on a thursday with half the membership knowing nothing about it :o Not good enough and a lot of people are now fed up with it....

How does this 5 bird club work ?

 

It worked well at one time with 80 members with around 30-40 that would compete every Tuesday or Wednesday this depending on the weather, pay £20 subs start of season this allows you to send 5 racers and 15 trainers each week. Cock £1 nom, hen £1 nom and £5 one bird nom, distance around 70 miles, £80 prize money per week, clocks checked later in the evening, weekly payouts were around £250 - £300.

Extra trainers could be sent for an additional fee.

alan every club has a rep to pass on the word to his members  your club rep should come back and let his members know what is going on why dont you take this on and you can relay back to your members so hope to see you there on thursday

 

gareth as i said if the members want racing there is not a problem if enough intrest shown  but rember you req workers to set clocks ring birds there is plenty members that dont have a full time job so maybe they can help out

Wullie the race/toss i am on about our club rep wasnae at it because he never knew anything about it mate that's what i am saying but we'll see how it go's on thursday night...personally i would like a change as a few times now we have made decision's at the AGM only for them to be changed before the season starts and nobody knows why but then again maybe it shouldnae be under the control of 1 man and i'm not on about yourself Wullie

Used to be Low Waters club hut, Hamilton, should point out that it is only for members of the west section of the Lanarkshire federation.

 

Hopefully they will maybe have 6 races from Otterburn 78 miles or Stobbs Camp 53 miles depending on the conditions on the day. ;)
