greenlands Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Called at my mates this morning after visiting the doc's for a coffee and a chin wag,he was telling me that one of the members in his club had five young birds reported dead under a local turbine, bad news,so don't always condemn the pigeons.Might have been more there but not seen. :emoticon-0138-thinking:
Kyleakin Lofts Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Possible hit them scattering from the local peregrines. Buzzards, etc will have a field day.
R.A.M.C.63 Posted June 30, 2014 Report Posted June 30, 2014 Yes fanciers dont seen to relize how many of these Turbines are Scattered over Flypath of birds, believe RSPB ware up in arms when SEA EAGLE was found below one, Fanciers would be right in having Concerns, And if that was,nt bad enough what yous forget is that the power from Turbines has to transported, In comes your New Super Pylons have you seen hieght these things, they carry more Cables than old ones, and the cables are Thicker, Standing at that Height, Spreading all over country like spiders web, Maybe somone can comment on the Beulie (spelling) to Denny line, me thinks the BIG WHITE things least o we,r problems, birds at race pace hitting these Pylons + Cables !!!!!
