as long as it takes, they will go ranging and if left alone (bop) they work there way home, Mine were at a 10 miles toss and it took them a hour, but all landed together, alb.

thanks for your reply mine are past that stage and are nearly ready to race I hope that's why im asking whatis a reasonable time for 30 miles as crow flies????

ok , if that well trained , 25min to 40 min depend on wind that they up from,

 

25 min is 70 mph Bill, don't get the guy disheartened lol. I would say 45-50 minutes.

thank you for replies mine clocked 55mins on Tuesday and 55mins today aiming for 45mins next week my birds could not do 25 mins on back of a motor bike lol there staying birds jan ardens thanks again you've gave me some idea

my birds clocked 51 mins this morning 27/6/14 for the 30mls last week 77 mins 1 chuck this week 23/6 55mins 26/6 55mins 27/6 clocked 51mins hope this helps other rookies like myself im aiming for 12500 per min no wind assist would this be about right

I remember reading about a champion trainer and I quote young bird racing young biiiird racing I leave that to the novices.i believe he schooled young birds he race trained yearlings and won thousands of pounds with 2 and 3 year olds food for thought don't stress the wings of you babies

no would think as the crow fly about 18mls , and no old birds with them, Had them away today in the rain , same place . it took them 30min 49/49 home,

big bill how do you get that many birds into basket do you have a loading system
