When I switch my laptop on after start up I enter my log on password

But it won't let me in

It's giving the message

The user profile service failed the login

User profile cannot be loaded

What probably happened is your user profile didn't shut down properly and more than likely is corrupt.

Are you on windows 7?

Can you start in safe mode ?

Dave when you go to login/sign in...

 

Does it have your profile and also one called, "Administrator? Or just yours?

 

I think if you can get in to the Administrator one you can do a system restore to a few days before this hiccup and you will be back to normal.

Are you still there Davey or are you on the pop.

 

Start the computer and press F8 continuously.

Should start in Safe Mode.

Control panel and open user account

Go to password and remove it.

Restart .
