looks like the carluke club iS NOW maybe on the way up with 2 new members, G Rowley, and D Elliot members are getting thin on the ground, in most clubs. a think with Dave in your club, your going to find it harder to get that distance club card, emoticon-0123-party.gif also I heard that there are some more wanting to join the club, but cant due to the new rule cant race in two feds. is there no way this could be sorted, do you need to resign, from one before the other. wacko.gif

Hi Danny

Still here for the pilgrims ???

You missed one great new member Mrs Margaret Sommerville

and yes we had to expel a non flying member

Think Lanarkshire Fed should have a look at this

Under The Equality and Human Rights Commission act 2010

(What equality law means for your association, club or society)

Have a look Danny

Cheers

thanks for the heads up Alex, was the guy a honuary member as i have never heard of a none flying club member, as that could cause a problem should the member apply to join another club but i take it is not the case then as you quote the human rights issue 2010. yes they will defend any pilgrim

but they will not defend anyone knowingly breeching rules of any kind or who has caused the infringement to rules all should be made clear to all members that the managment has office in any affairs as they are elected men or woman to carry the lettter of the law and any expelled guy would have had a majority vote cast against them although its the chairman or such that has to put the black hat on and deliver the popular or unpopular vote;

Hey guys thanks for your comments, hopefully Carluke can continue to fly without any more controversy and childish antics! Firstly great to see Margaret in the club - we always saw as a member anyway. Good Luck for the season ahead and once again sincere sympathy.

Talking briefly about the fiasco meeting on Sunday - just wanted to clear up a few points, the member in question actually walked out and left CFC on his own accord - he then joined another club and another fed - he was asked to come back - he refused. I cant do much more than this. As for human right act - I think that this is going a tad too far, its a bit comical - rules are rules and if you leave - you're gone. Who we choose to spend time with or how you choose to behave is up to you - but lets enjoy the season ahead and race our birds - and please no more waving of paper about human rights and European laws. Good Luck for the racing ahead, yours in sport - always - Callum Walker The PRESIDENT!! - Carluke Flying Club.

yes RULES are RULES, and should be made clear no back sliding. if you leave a club then you have nailed your colours to the mast, in a situation like this its the committe and its members that get all the flack, if you have worked by all the rules, and not showed up anyone or placed a member at a unfair advantage, or any untowards or malice. Calum you have done your club proud, as it is as hard to find honest men. hope you support your club and get on with racing, time is a healer, and majority is still the rule of law.

nope never heard of them, but if the club members had held a past member in such a high rank, they would allow the member honuary membership for free not putting presure on him over club fees . in most,but not all cases, members leave over cost of the up keep, and others for health reasons, and if you have been a good club member, the fanciers in the club demand that you the commitee , send a letter sating they have made you a honuary member of there club.and also making it known, should you change your mind there is99.9% chance you will get back into the club once again.

paying money to stay in the club is fine a great jesture ,you helping out your club and all , but you cant court the cat! when all you really want is the Kitten and then fly in another fed at the same timeanimatedpigeons.gif
