Bluepied80 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Hi all Please bear with me as I'm new to all this but I've paired my pigeons up and that went really well and for the last two days I've been letting only one pair out at a time for a maximum of one hour.Today I've been letting two pairs out at the same time for a maximum of an hour. So when should I start letting them all out together?
jim Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 WHEN THEY SEEM SETTLED AND NOT RUNNING ROUND LIKE MAD DRIVING THE HEN THIS WILL BE THE WORST TIME I LET ALTERNET BOXES OUT ONE ABOVE ONE BELOW GOOD LUCK FOR SEASON
OLDYELLOW Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 You just need a lot of patience , let a few pairs out at a time get them going back to there boxes after a feed / stretch around loft any nuisance pairs just keep locked up until others are sorted ones that are going back to boxes with ease just lock these back up as are sorted whilst get the difficult ones sorted . There aint no easy answer or right way unless you want them to have a free for all then you just open up and leave them to it
philg50 Posted January 23, 2014 Report Posted January 23, 2014 I took back doos 2012 i didnt race 2013 so this year not knowing what i have got i am letting them choose thier own mates ,then what i have left after some racing will be what i concentrate on 2015 .The only birds i have kept seperate are 6 distance birds in section of thier own ,no hassle for me this year.
