gordi.b Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 I will have Kingdom Spirit if George and Brian will part with her ( no chance )
JohnQuinn Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 I think i would opt for Eddie Newcombe's Red Rock, i was fortunate enough to see him when i was just a boy of 11 or 12, he carried almost as much Black Splashes as Red and he could only hop from box to box to get around the loft by that time, left some impression on me so would opt for him.
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Westbound was Direct from "The old grizzle hen" who was a fantastic racer but more importantly bred generations of pigeons to score well from France with SNFC. I thought she took a nice picture and the record her and her descendants set for you and your father from Niort was something special
Delboy Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 Think you are correct and she bred Amazing Grace which in turn [ I think ] bred Mill Queen and she bred Mill Princess ??? Mill Queen, 2nd west sect Gold cup bred Mill Princess 1st west sect Gold cup bred Queen 2nd west sect Gold cup bred Pied Queen 1st west sect Gold cup, what a line of hens. Mind ye, Fortune Lady who scored 10 times, her dam scored 7 times and her g.dam scored 6 times, a hatrick of Gold Award winners

andy Posted December 12, 2013 Report Posted December 12, 2013 On my many trips to Macmerry as a boy, I always liked Festival Mealy Prince. Bred in 1972. Last year when on holiday in Malta, I asked Eddie what he thought was his best bird. I was expecting Red Rock or Red Laddie or Lady of Courage or Faith....His words were Festival Mealy Prince!!! Made ma day!
