philg50 Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 Can you vaccinate a pigeon in any place other than back of neck as it is just under skin is it not?
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 I have always thought it is best to follow the manufacturers instructions but I do know of some fanciers that inject between the leg and the pigeons body each to their own I suppose.
Guest Owen Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 The vaccination should be under the skin and the reason why the back of the neck is recommended is because there is plenty of lose skin there.
greenlands Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 There are also a lot of nerves in the neck.Never vaccinated in the skin between the body and the leg but here's a link on how this fancier does it.
