Hello my son wants to start racing pigeons next year he is 9 years old.My son has got experience with pigeons so he knows what he's getting into he used to do it with my ex for years and I used to be involved in cleaning lofts etc. He has the bug and I would like to support him in it.

At the moment I'm looking for virtually everything loft boxes and birds etc.. I know it's a expensive game so I'm looking for anything for free or as cheap as possible.

I live in the birmingham area and help would be appreciated

Thanks xxxx

The problem you have got getting pigeons etc from folk outside your area is the cost of carriage you ll need to pay.Im sure the pigeon fanciers in your area will be more than glad to help you out with birds and accessories, then you don't have any carriage.ATB

Couriers £35-00 seems to be an average north of the border i dont know, but as suggested try and source your birds off local fanciers. You are welcome to some young birds next year its good to see some young blood come into the sport. :animatedpigeons:

find your local club, apply to join, and then you may get offers from a lot closer to home

Thanks for the offer Barry and Paulo could anyone advise the cheapest courier and how much it may cost. What birds have you got ??

Cause hes a junior and just starting up ill pay the carriage for him.

I have mainly banty emmerson pigeons van loon and busschaert based. Have had some good results in the short time ive been flying if you google my name paul fullard and racing pigeons some will come up. Ill message you my address and phone number when I have a minute. I flew rubbish this year as just moved club and struggled to get hang of feeding in back garden as have always flew down allotments plus having a 1 year old myself and my wife and I working full time. I have decent birds though its me thats been the problem.

I normally pair up january but will breed him some for whenever his lofts are ready

Thats how it should work but local fliers very rarely help people as they should if in same club especially when they start winning
