OLDYELLOW Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 http://www.rpra.org/new-ecotaxe-for-france-01012014/ If ever a piece of legislation will force/encourage Pigeon Fanciers to integrate when racing from France then this will be it. Sending part loaded transporters into France will be a financial mill stone around the necks of anyone who attempts it with yet another additional cost.If there is one thing that gets up the nose of these ecologists is virtually empty lorries travelling on the road, they want to see all vehicles fully loaded and the next step is you will be penalised for part loaded vehicles. The time is getting nearer to be more integrated for Channel racing

OLDYELLOW Posted October 7, 2013 Author Report Posted October 7, 2013 I personally think the whole channel racing scene needs a big shake up fewer race points more central then each fed fill spaces up like they would an aircraft a small hub near Dover / docks to swap crates be great
Tony C Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Or race from Belgium Germany for the longer races............. a much fairer route IMO.
REDCHEQHEN Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 You have had to pay tolls in France for sometime - it just looks like they are doing away with the toll booths
Guest homestead Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 its a eco tax the french have brought in for all vehicle's over 3.5 ton, i think it starts next month and i think you'll find the tolls will still be there £££££ cash cow for the french
buster151 Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 As I understand it the tolls will still be there, there will be no extra charges on toll roads, but will be in force on other roads
