andy its not that long ago when we had the hassle of starting new feds etc just to get away from racing the west with the midland why would we want to go back down there after all the beastings we had on the west route

John i thought you said the west route wiped you guys out too with the midland . Why would you want to go there again now .

It is VERY easy for a small convoy to be wiped out Rab, the route or line of flight makes no odds, nature makes doos and other birds batch together because of safety in numbers. No matter where we race from we will get hit by predators, but if your doos are in a large batch there is less chance of a wipe out. jmo.

John I was under the impression all this talk about going together and speaking to officials of the relevant Feds the races that were to be combined would of been a joint decision but I've obviously picked it up wrong personally I like the program yous have decided and would like to be racing along with yous as this is th route for west sided Feds atb for th coming season

You were correct in your thinking Ricky.

Imo rab when convoying the numbers Glasgow do and the like your asking for bad racing

george where do you get that from our racing old and yb has been fine on the east you get the odd sticky race , if its not brocken no point in trying to fix it .

I'm no getting it from anywhere it's fact convoying in smaller numbers is asking for trouble....Yeah you had good returns but I can remember one particular race youz went on the Satuday and got pumped..talk on here of only 50% home etc

i prefer the west rout rab i had more birds lost and hawked in newark and leicester than i did racing the full season the year before down the west the hawk situ in the east is as bad if not worse than the west but much less clashing but i would say our program is down the middle not west but every one to there own m8

imo most of the bad races down the west are caused by south east winds or straight east winds rab with lots of birds ending up in ireland and not wanting to face a head wind to get back more good birds lost in east winds than percy takes i think m8 so thats the only time id want to go east if its a strong east or south east wind forcast

Dual racepoints and controller given the latitude to chose dependant on weather conditions is the way forward. There should also be more flexibility when the race takes place, Friday to Monday for liberations to save time in baskets. It makes sense nowadays when better information is available.

just as with training george go up the road yourself and percy is about its you thats getting hit go with fed or training van and theres the chance it will be someone else that gets it simple as that i dont see what the problem is if they think its a good program and they want to go down the west whats the problem just so happens we have our race meeting early as allways if other feds would have had theres first and it was a good program i would have been fine with that what difference does it make if its a good program its a good program simple as that what the f k difference does it make who sugests it first

What the small convoy makes for is difficult racing and that's why the likes of Davy Donaldson flys with the small convoy, both have pros and cons.but Lanarkshire will always set the program purely because of size, it's the best fed program for a number of years IMO so if others follow great if not still great for Lanarkshire
