my first answer is no but check with mark palmer .my landing boards consist of two areas --magnetic area and reading area but my landing boards are the early type [you carnt put these boards next to each other]

so the front of the board with the magnetic field excites the chip and in laymans terms switches it on-so now the chip starts to transmit its code---now the back of the landing board has the reciever on it to send the code to the clock.

this is how i understand how the early bricon system works -dont know if this has been improved upon but do contact mark palmer.

bricon systems dont like metal bob wires so next time your at a show get ally ones also while a bird is on the pad clocking a second isnt guaranteed so consider putting the board on a slope so the bird goes over but exits the board for the next one as quick as possible.

if someone says they dont miss any rings with their system i would say they are lying-my bricon misses at times and i am getting shot of my unikon system as its worse than my bricon---my mates getting rid of his tauris as it lost him a fed 1st

so i put a pad under the drinker so if it misses as the bird goes for a drink it gets a second chance to clock.

I turned my 1 field so they entered a 10 inch opening. Worked fine most times just you only get a short run for the pigeon to clock in sometimes you need to catch and put back over pad but most times it worked fine first time. I later got a bigger pad but have since gone out on my own and I am back to a 1 field pad again but happy to have an ets.

Best thing to do would be to put your clock in training mode and try it. If your happy with the results then do it. Best of luck

I have a 10x6 inch single bricon pad can I turn this long ways and make my trap 10inch wide?

You should not turn a small bricon pad sideways. If you need to cover an area of 10 inches you will need to get an 11 inch pad. Coverage is not guaranteed at the back of the pad where the electronics and cable are positioned. There is no point in owning any ets system if you are going to leave a gap where birds can enter without walking on a live part of the pad and being timed.
