i would say so as cocks know their own box.as you won,t get hens fighting for box well not as much as cocks.omo

Never flew roundabout system but would the hens not pair on if given nest boxes :emoticon-0138-thinking:

As we all know cocks are very territorial and if you keep the cocks away from there boxes they won't fly when let out as they will be too focused on getting back into their box.JMO

i dont i alternate the system to suit , i find it gives them just that we edge

Was speaking to a guy last year about flying roundabout and he was telling me that he keeps the hens shut up in the boxes to stop them pairing and the cocks on V perches in the next section,this guy is a very good National,BICC and BBC flyer,perhaps he as better hens than cocks I,m not sure.
