Delboy Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I'm new to pigeons and I'm sending a few youngbirds this weekendI've read somewhere about using a syringe make sure they've had a drink, how much per bird? And is it really necessary ?Any tips ? The only thing about syringing water over their throats is that they blow it straight out their azz, but if you think you should do it, 30ml is plenty.
Tony C Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 The weather looks set fair for Saturday, not to hot and an early lib likely. I personally don't think these conditions merit water syringed down their throats. You may hear people say they don't feed them on a Friday to get them to trap, don't go down this road. Half their daily ration fed early should see that they take on enough fluid for the pending race. Good luck.
andyyy Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 My advice, don't do anything different to what you would usually do during the week other than keeping them in. Best of luck
