Ovy, the diamantvbond has the most famous names to the British scene, however it isn't the big money club around Antwerp, the biggest and best competition around Antwerp with big money is in the Tienverbond. However the Diamantvbond is the second most competitive but as I said There's some famous names racing in the Bond. In my opinion the best sprint man at the moment is Shaun McDonough of Walsall.

geordie1234 Posted July 28, 2013 Author Report Posted July 28, 2013 Great answers so far keep them coming
moscow master Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 Tam Blair wins out of turn at fed level and scores well at the nationals even although he doesn't go to many and has yet another great season by far the best doo man in Scotland imo
KMCK Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 The Macs will be one of the best about IMO, winning at all levels a league of their own
ovy1255 Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 some household names in belgium seem more interested in selling than racing--it is good when you go on loft visits and as you say see a loft just like yours nothing fancy but you can research the club results and see how he has done.to take a loft in question--STICKERS DONKERS==try and buy birds from his loft and if you can get something befor 2015 you will be lucky, yet when you look at an advert in the homing world november 5th i think couple of years ago,it started,FASTEST PIGEONS IN BELGIUM.YET THE BASE COCK WAS OFF FRANS AND DIRK MARIS OF ITERGEM.they fly a small back garden setup.so do your research and take you pick, these guys fly sprint all year .thx for info about teinverbond.
JohnQuinn Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 In your own opinion guys who has the best sprint pigeons in the UK? The question needing answered is who is the best Sprint Fancier in Britain, no who's got the best doos. The answer in this instance just happens to be the same no matter the question, The Mac's by far. imo!

ovy1255 Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 i know a good few lads with these birds and have seen a lot of sales lists these lads have more crosses then most ive seen how did they do this year thats the diference between uk fanciers and belgian fanciers---they dont look at pigeons as a breed eg van reet or jansen they want to breed winner to winner----also they consentrate on a set distance eg vitess ---fond------or grand fond-------------but in the uk we try to win with our birds from 60 to 600 miles.if we try to compare our birds with humans its like asking a 100meteres sprinter to try and win the london marathon--but can we make that comparison.

just ask me Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 Thanks for all the replies Some interesting points in regards they the Belg fanciers race at one distance the full season etc some do others have big enough lofts that they compete at vittese and and light middle and middle i like to look at where the money is as a lot of middle distance flyers use the sprint as training and dont compete a whole lot in the sprint races where big money is involved i also like to look at lofts sending 5 or 6 birds or even less as there counting on a small few birds to win the money others can have a lot more in the races dirk van de bulk will be a massive name very soon remember that name lol and no i have not got any of his birds and he races against stickers donkers there another few who dont send many birds who put up great performances keeping then names to myself lol

Regarding Stickers Donkers they race very large team both at old and yearlings, as you will know JAM, there races are separate. They fly very well but the small team men such as Emiel Dries put up better performances, with small teams however Stickers uses a lot of Emiels Blood and as Ovy said Frans Maris also.
Guest bigda Posted July 28, 2013 Report Posted July 28, 2013 no one in Britain can achieve what George macalonie achieved, even if they lived to be 1 hundred, he has flew and won more races with birdage as big as 12,000 birds in it up here in the one federation. only the up north combine birdage would be bigger, but you will not find many fanciers have more federation tickets, than the 3 macs who knows if they had a crack at the up north combine, where he would have faired, but trust me he would not be far away from its top table. you don't get fed tickets up here for free. There will never be the days of the big birdage. so no records can be beat
