As we are well into the month of June, it would be interesting to hear when fanciers take their youngsters off the darkness system, and why a specific date?

I'll be taking mine of the dark this coming weekend as I don't intend on racing the full programme.

I'll be taking mine of June 16th, it's something we do every year. It's when we need to start getting our young birds out. Our young birds are only let out at weekends, from weaning until June the 16th. June 16th is when daily flying will take place. if all goes well, gives us 3 weeks to get them flying well, then roughly 3 weeks to get them trained. They will compete the complete programme.
