Hello, I've just joined the site and was wondering if someone might be able to help me. I stay in a flat in Glasgow and couldn't have my own loft but I have always wanted to get involved in pigeon racing. I'll never forget the joy and excitement I felt when my uncle Tam used to show me his racing pigeons and tell me about the amazing distances the birds had flown to get back to the loft.

Would it be possible to keep a pigeon, or maybe a pair in someone's loft and I pay the costs or are there communal type or sharing lofts for people in my position? Glasgow or surrounding area would be ideal.

Glasgow has a Federation Web site, www.glasgowfed.com, You will see all the local clubs and see if any are near you and go along for a chat, there maybe someone looking for a partner. Good Luck, if you do get a loft on an allotment I will breed you a pair of birds, as I am sure many others would to help you get started.
