My young cocks are chasing anything that moves,I've never parted them before but thinking of doing it this season.

When would you part them and is there any advantage parting them ?

My young cocks are chasing anything that moves,I've never parted them before but thinking of doing it this season.

When would you part them and is there any advantage parting them ?

Always part mine as soon as they show Lindsay. I like to get them in a basket a soon after that as poss to stop them ranging. Biggest advantage is the obvious widow motivation for race day, no worries of young hens laying and a bit easier(i think) to handle daily.

 

I have a sliding door between two identical ends which I open when the time is right!
