All loft now at home thanks to Paul Douthwaite for giving up his time and bringing it on wagon in a few trips ;) and he didn't even accept payment owe ya one mate , yer a star ;) Also Thanks to George Hill ( me old man ) , Dellsidelofts and Peter Thorpe and Andrew Hindle that helped with the loading unloading Just need to get it back up now ;) Dellsidelofts and I have put floor down tonight and covered all chipboard up Glad it's here now ;)

Base Done today with Dellsidelofts ;) who also brought a lot of the tiles round cheers matey ;)

 

 

You should have put air blocks in for the rising damp from the ground

no issues with it before and all boards allow for breathing no issues of rising damp and membrane underneath wood that sits on breeze blocks ;)

Honestly the boards were as tough and strong as day I put them down 6 year ago , just as well they were pressure treated should last a long while ;)

Thanks for your input ;) As said I'll judge the bases effectiveness by the timbers quality this has been out in all elements for 6 years and not one piece needed replacing which if did it would of been replaced :) Was surprised mesen at how well it's kept :) Plenty of life in it yet ;) and me base not a haven fer vermin ;)

Cheers Duncan ;) yes could be both lofts on a slope this one runs away from house and old un ran towards house :)

 

put in a trap door mate for rodents ;)

Thinking of a cat flap there's plenty around here lol ;)

Woke up this morning every part of my body aching from carrying sections and tiles all day up to 9pm last night lucky fer me got all remaining tiles in place to go up before I packed up last night ;)

hit a few probs with roof so be back at it Monday morning should have outside done by then ;)

All loft painted apart from the door , traps back up , Stock loft back together and all stock cocks put in tonight , hen section sorted so they also all went in tonight so 75% of insides done , just the widowhood loft and yb section to straighten out tomorrow and with a bit of luck should get the remaining race birds back in loft :)
