chaz Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 A few of some of the yearlings I will be making re-start with this season, trained but unraced as Y/B`s
OLDYELLOW Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 yup look good and in good raft , how far did you train them and how many tosses , im sure if well schooled as ybs they'll repay yer back as yearlings
chaz Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 They have been trained to 50 miles and had 4 tosses from there and about 12/15 tosses in the build up to the 50 mile stage also they had a single up from the 20 mile stage , will probably give them a few midweek races then step them in to the fed races at the comeback stage , I need to hold as many as possible to build a team for the next few years

billt Posted February 24, 2010 Report Posted February 24, 2010 Looking good, you wont be racing the ch. pd. then
chaz Posted February 24, 2010 Author Report Posted February 24, 2010 The ch pied is a hen given to my thunderboult from this site as a mate to enable me to race my birds to safe mates that won`t be raced , Thanks all for the comments
chaz Posted March 28, 2010 Author Report Posted March 28, 2010 Juat a few updated pics now they are on eggs and Y/b`s this hen seems to be barren :-/ and is sitting out on some "pot" eggs a shame as she seems a nice type but it will give me chance to manipulate things when she is racing on natural the "barren hen" and her mate

ally mac Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Birds look good. I had a barren roller hen a couple of years ago and used her as a feeder, could just put eggs under her and she would sit them no problem, raered them all without any trouble too. Al.
Wiley Posted March 29, 2010 Report Posted March 29, 2010 Barren hen, takes me back to my success with semi widowhood, a barren hen in the right hands will cause many many wins, the old alf baker knew this, and so did i, i agree with phil dont push them to far,
