does anyone know anything about stoats?saw one in the garden last week and the missus says she seen it crawling under the pigeon loft.do they eat grain?are they vermin?do you think they can chew into the loft?

if that guy gets into your shed you will have nothing left it might be a ferret that your wife seen or a polecat no matter any of them will whipe you out get a lenght of 3" plastic pipe put 2 wire snares on each end of the pipe a pipe of about 3 foot place some cooked chicken in the middle of the pipe and lay flat at side of shed hope you get it

ive seen it mate its small,light brown/ginger back and white down the front.just read up on them they are meat eaters so i will have to get rid of this thing.

Caught one behind my loft couple months ago,lay a 2" pipe about 2 feet long against the back of the loft leading to a fen or gin trap baited with a piece of raw meat or bacon just behind the trap,remember to block the end after the trap so it is forced to go through the pipe,remember to cover the trap so no domestic animals can get to it.

got a live squirrel trap for them.apparently they like fish the most,got a lovely rainbow trout to tease it in.will set it tonight once the fish has thawed.

Hi Geordie you'll need to deal with it sharpish anyone of the two in the photo Stoat or weasel(smaller one) will wipe you out and if it has been seen more than once then it has taken up residence very near you the weasel has no black tip too its tail and can pass through 1"x1" mesh with ease so will get out of a squirrel trap which are sometimes made with 1"x1" mesh both are good climbers and would be up on your loft in no time hope yae get the f@cker

coatbridge have loaned out to all the rats in the fed never to get any thing back the only thing coatbrigde get from the fed is parra

im going to screw a mouse trap onto a large piece of wood so if it takes the bait it cannot run away with my trap.i think it is a weasel mate its head is not much bigger than a mouses.
