Delboy Posted March 17, 2013 Author Report Posted March 17, 2013 if the snfc decide to ask the lanarkshire fed for the use of there transport first of all they would have to agree they take them for all 7 races at a cost of about 3,200 per race as that would be for truck hire fuel and driver but if they only want the lanarkshire for a few races then it would be £4,200 FOR EACH RACE and i feel this is a fair price to expect to pay when the birdage can be as much as 6,000 birds at a cost of £3 per bird min giving the nat a profit of well over 18,000 less transport cost £3,200 = £14,800 on there race, working out at £16 per basket per to £20 per basket Danny, can u remember the TWILIGHT ZONE, well youve just entered it

Guest bigda Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Danny, can u remember the TWILIGHT ZONE, well youve just entered it why would you not pay £3,200 to the lanakshire when you paid out £21,000 to a stranger go with the lanarkshire it should cost you only £22,200 per year as you can see this year price is not over the top at all
Guest bigda Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 the national has a price of 25x£3 = £75 per basket all the lanarkshire would be asking is £16 for the same basket letting you make a profit of £59 per basket that is not over the top but that would be the fixed price for all 7 races no just the odd one
Guest stb- Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 the national has a price of 25x£3 = £75 per basket all the lanarkshire would be asking is £16 for the same basket letting you make a profit of £59 per basket that is not over the top but that would be the fixed price for all 7 races no just the odd onewhen you look at it that way it seems fair enough really
Guest bigda Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 yes and a wise man would also see in 3 of the races, you have already got the lanarkshires birds to boot in your account. but as i say the total bill must be agreed of £22,400before you go anywhere signed and sealed
Henrik Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 the national has a price of 25x£3 = £75 per basket all the lanarkshire would be asking is £16 for the same basket letting you make a profit of £59 per basket that is not over the top but that would be the fixed price for all 7 races no just the odd oneGet some one to do your sums for you as the SNFC does not put 25 birds in any basket.
Guest bigda Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 Get some one to do your sums for you as the SNFC does not put 25 birds in any basket.it would not affect the lanarkshire as they still want £16 per basket it would be down to you and they baskets are bigger make it 20 its then its £44 profit for yousand still £22,400 end of the season the lanarkshire has to work as the way of a firm they need to know there responsibility's taking on a contract and having to honour it they also need to have a clear objective and they also have to decide to work on a day book for hold overs business is business
Guest bigda Posted March 17, 2013 Report Posted March 17, 2013 to break this down is quite simple the national it is going to cost you £22.400 from that the birdage from the lanarkshire from the 3 races is going to reduce you costs by £11,000 possibly more from them 3 races from the lanarkshire. you will have at least 6,000 birds from us over the 3 races, that would give you £18,000 but i am generous and saying just 11,000 from your bill that will then make your nat bill only £11,400 saving your national £9,600 from your last years bill the lanarkshire would make a profit also from this we are normaly £15,000 transport costs but taking that from the £22.400 would leave us with £7,400 profit then our own races would be at our own costs over the year, and young bird racing so the nat bill would only be £9,600 going with the lanarkshire for every race, there is sums for you henrik you cant beat that and you need the lanarkshire to get that reward as you know the lanarkshire have all cost and wear and tare to consider now, at one time it was only the trailers up keepnow is every thing else you got away light before with the lanarkshire trailer as the price of the yearly mot never got brought into your cost of its hire
Henrik Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Just out of curiosity what are the dimensions of these Geraldy crates, are they the same size as the wicker baskets that are used just now?So I asked this a wee while back and had no worthwhile reply, so can anybody enlighten me to the size of these crates? Oh and I mean in feet and inches not these crates are bigger or these crates hold 30 birds in Holland. Also I would like to know what happens if the ventilation system fails?

Also I would like to know what happens if the ventilation system fails? i think that can have its problems yes, but you could have on board a back up with a small generator in the warm days, blowing cool air at night it is normally cold abroad pigeons have there own ventilation built in also to regulate them self by fluffing up for drying, and keeping tight for cooling of the size that i aint sure but i think they are 3" wider than the wicker basket and "2 in head height

Delboy Posted March 28, 2013 Author Report Posted March 28, 2013 Just hope the SNFC choose the BEST transporters available for the pigeons this year.Especially with the unjustified bad press the pigeon sport has had recently....
