Guest bigda Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 all the sections are made up, as is the fronts of the lofts, just need the go ahead and some fast block builders, and rough casters the foundation will need leveling up by the look of the photos that should never have happened as it looks to have about a 2foot slope each end could be wrong but i dont think so. best of luck you will need it this day and age, with the losses that other one loft racers have discovered the darkness plan will be close to fulfil
Guest bigda Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 the loop hole used here, only works so long as the loft has moved on the next visit by planing a few feet is all that need to be moved technically
airdrie2 Posted March 5, 2013 Report Posted March 5, 2013 the loop hole used here, only works so long as the loft has moved on the next visit by planing a few feet is all that need to be moved technicallybut you just get up there goat and dont expect any favours and may then pass with restrictionssounds to me as if it is try this year and if it dont work move on quick buck ?
bigjamie Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 i thought i read they were hoping for a thousand ybs for this one loft race 2 lofts at 40 foot say 5 8 feet sections for each loft 100 birds per section dont think so i would not even put half that amount in them 2 lofts it will be a disaster health wise for the birds
Guest bigda Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 yes i think it will be tight but i dont want to be a stickler i think the trailer should have guy ropes on just now for safety from high winds, i also noticed in the new sections widowhood boxes are they all going to get a box or is it only some birds that will get a box or they going to be on different systems here
bigjamie Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 the sections should all be the same and all the birds raced on the same system i for one dont like the style of the lofts over 100 perches in each section 40 foot loft the best of luck to billy and all thats entered but the lofts are not big enough for the amount of birds they are looking to house in them only my opinion
Guest bigda Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 the sections should all be the same and all the birds raced on the same system i for one dont like the style of the lofts over 100 perches in each section 40 foot loft the best of luck to billy and all thats entered but the lofts are not big enough for the amount of birds they are looking to house in them only my opinionjust wondering why the nest boxes
Guest bigda Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 you could olso have say 50 more hens than cocks giving them more space in there section or using up a extra section i dont think its is well thought out and if the loft section is only the width of the trailer that cant be any more than 8 feet and they then have a corider making it 8x 6 288 cubic feet max some thing has to give you could take away another 80 cubic feet for the perches giving it 200 cubic feet per section
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 the sections should all be the same and all the birds raced on the same system i for one dont like the style of the lofts over 100 perches in each section 40 foot loft the best of luck to billy and all thats entered but the lofts are not big enough for the amount of birds they are looking to house in them only my opinion jamie this one loft only holds 600 comfortble and its 20 foot wide by around 250 ft each section has 10 ft wide aviary on front so they canny be cramming a 1000 yb in 2 40x8 lofts there is no comparison to this set up http://www.northcoastclassic.co.uk/photos-2009photos.html ps they had planning permision afore they started , starting without is very unprofesional imo :emoticon-0138-thinking:
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Is the o.l.r going with the SNFC Leicester or the UNC Maidstone, as both races are on same day??going by the programe it must be half and half then Thirsk 120miles Thirsk 120miles Budwith (Hot Spot Race) 160miles Worksop (Hot Spot Race) 180miles Newark (Hot Spot Race) 200miles Melton Mowbray (Hot Spot Race) 220miles Leicester SNFC (Hot Spot Race) 225miles(National Final Race Maidstone with the Up North Combine 335miles(National)
peter2010 Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Could you explain what you mean Peter. Is there plenty of room ? What size of sections are there to how many birds ? Maybe someone could enlighten us on how many entries there are expected and how much space etc is available, ie aviaries etc.Del there's a video on the one loft website showing the sections about aviaries there's none yet but when I was there billy said there would be one running the length of the loft also seen someone mentioned about the next boxes in a couple of sections I was told those are not for the one loft birds
Guest IB Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 ........they had planning permision afore they started , starting without is very unprofesional imo :emoticon-0138-thinking: Planning system is open and transparent and the application process from beginning to end is available to all on line. According to Scottish Borders website, this application is undetermined. As you said, very unprofessional.
Delboy Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 going by the programe it must be half and half then Thirsk 120miles Thirsk 120miles Budwith (Hot Spot Race) 160miles Worksop (Hot Spot Race) 180miles Newark (Hot Spot Race) 200miles Melton Mowbray (Hot Spot Race) 220miles Leicester SNFC (Hot Spot Race) 225miles(NationalFinal Race Maidstone with the Up North Combine 335miles(National) Maidstone is the final race Rab so I doubt the SNFC race is a no go.I think he might use the SNRPC who are going the week before
geordie1234 Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Billy Holland knows what he is doing, the birds will be looked after and he won't cram pigeons into somewhere they cannot fit.
