greenlands Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 I know every ones back pocket is a bit tight but I think this is just taking the pee.Ordered PMV vaccine yesterday arrived this mo.Good service .100 dose in a flat pack envelope with very little protection,so obviously damaged but bottle OK.That wasn't a good start till I saw there was one syringe and one needle.Used to get two syringes and three needles and with a bit of luck might stop cross contamination.Penny pinching I think is the word I'm looking for.So I have just sent an email to the same effect.Awaiting a reply.
buster151 Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 tight is the word I would use as the cost is not even pennies, don't they say to leave one needle in the bottle so as not to put the one that has been in the birds in, can I ask where you had it from

Williedoo Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 Seems to be the norm now from Colomdovac,no polystyrene now in the box just cardboard divisions, very flimsy for something that goes through the post.

Guest strapper Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 i think their business strategy needs a new injection
greenlands Posted February 13, 2013 Author Report Posted February 13, 2013 Thanks for your email, Please accept our apologies for this. The makers of Colombovac now only supply vaccine with one needle and syringe. Many vaccines do not come with any needles or syringes however as a gesture of goodwill they do include one for you. The Nobivac vaccines do come with more than one of each which may be something to think about for future use, otherwise we do sell spare needles. Kind regards

Kind regards My experience is that a single needle is only good for 20-25 injections then it seems to lose the sharpness. This is unsatisfactory.
Guest IB Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 My experience is that a single needle is only good for 20-25 injections then it seems to lose the sharpness. This is unsatisfactory. I had the same experience, 100 dose in one bottle, 1 needle & 1 syringe. The recommendation is 1 needle per 25 birds + 1 for the bottle, so I should have got 5. Never been any problem getting them - up to now.

Tony C Posted February 13, 2013 Report Posted February 13, 2013 I agree it isn't good enough. Call into your local pharmacy for needles, may help if you take the box along.
