Guest H@wkBait Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 should have left it for it to return toTheres nothing i could have done i presume its taken the bird off the wall at side off house so it was in full view off all the neighbours in a built up area the hawk did return 15 minutes later n sat in the tree just accross from the kill then the next day it was back bang on the same time and landed on a neighbours wall right beside where it made the kill then it went down n inspected the feathers from the previous days kill i wudda had a cracking pic off the hawk looking up at me at my window but my camera bat was dead it would have been nice to shoot it wi summit else but all i had at hand was a camera iv had a word with the local gamekeeper as im right on th edge off his estate says hes always watching out 4 em
Fly_caster Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 You would have done more than yourself a favour by looking after it ! They're F****rs, and it will be back now that it knows that it can get a high protein feed at your lofts. A chance missed I'm afraid !

Guest H@wkBait Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 if it had off been in the garden or out of site i could have made a loud bang lol but there not shy killing out in the open the red x is where it was killed
big blue bar Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 i had to run to the rescue couple of days ago , was working beside where i keep my pet doos when all of a sudden they all took to the air and one off them was taken out the air by a sparra i had to run and jump a couple of walls ( in the snow, mind you nearly fell on my *expletive removed* small price to pay ) when i got to the bird it was nt scared of me and i nearly had to kick it of the doo , the doo has survived lost a couple off feather , if i had nt been hear it would of been a dead doo ,
Guest H@wkBait Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 thats the problem some are captive bred birds arent scared but they say they dont release sparrow hawks hmmm so we arent aloud to protect our birds its madness so what are we ment to do if a bop catches 1 off our birds in our garden n refuses to get offf it are we ment to just sit n watch its a joke the problem is no one has stood up to the rspb n asked these questions or demanded that they control problem raptors
maverick Posted January 19, 2013 Report Posted January 19, 2013 I HAD a bad problem last year with the sparr attacking the youngbirds just about every time they were out its sickening to see your birds so scared they dont want to leave the loft
