greenlands Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 Hope you beat the weather mate, things don't look to good next week.
plumber Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Tony, Hope you dont think I'm interfering. If I were you I would add at least one vertical stud below each truss on the front of the loft. When you tile it there will be a hell of a load coming down via the roof tuss onto the front. When I did mine I had the trusses at 600mm (2ft) centres with a stud directly below every one so that the load from the roof was transferred directly to the base. You have made such a good job so far you dont want the roof crashing down on you These concrete roof tiles are VERY heavy Hugh

Guest geordiejen Posted December 10, 2012 Report Posted December 10, 2012 looking good mate but as plumber says if you bought roof tiles they are heavy and you should put something up to take the weight of the tiles.tin sheeting is good and deters the birds from sitting on the roof.
