Thanks Allan, but many hurdles to the Final so no chickens counted at the moment! :emoticon-0138-thinking:

i would hope though what these pigeons have just experienced should put them in a good position for the future events, we will just have to wait and see... what ever the outcome i'm sure we will have a ball in March, and if all goes pear shaped we will be shouting somebody onat the Final, maybe not in the same language tho but who gives a monkeys when yir p*shed! lol...

this is the worst 50 mile trainer toss I have ever heard of, 500+ birds amiss. What causes this and does that sort of thing happen often? A chap told me its the same every year, wow !!!!

it is just the way the racing is over there mate, usually from the first survival race which is the first time from the island of Gran Canaria... where 50% returns are rated as good!

island training doesnt seem to be to much of a problem, but as soon as they jump islands disaster is looming, but having said that once they have done it once returns from the remining races are usually excellent!

disasterous racing happens all over, we had a YB race last year when most lofts failed to reach 50% returns even after 2 weeks, gutting at the time...
