WulDon Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 just watched it fantastic,,,, hope to see at blackpool The Derby Arona Team certainly do know how to put the complete package together when it comes to OLR... i dont think any other OLR in the world can touch them when it comes to sheer professionalism! the live footage from the training/racing, followed up by the movies, SMS message for your first arrivals, personal profile including pictures of every pigeon you enter including progress charts for all training/racing, the list goes on...
WulDon Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 Whats the links to it? not sue of the link, but here the website... www.derbyarona.com
b.massey Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks I came across it. What did it mean when not long libbed about falcons? Had the falcons struck as libbed? Cheers
WulDon Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 Thanks I came across it. What did it mean when not long libbed about falcons? Had the falcons struck as libbed? Cheers ye mate, happens nearly every training flight... sometimes the footage is excellent and you see the bassa's take a dive at the doos... hasn't affected the returns so far... although some of the arrivals were a bit 'gapier' this time with 25 pigeons next day!
WulDon Posted January 16, 2013 Author Report Posted January 16, 2013 No so good to be honest mate, i dont think the majority of the youngters are even aware of what happens... training in numbers seems to help! most fanciers train on average say 50 youngsters, they get hit by a falcon and they all know about it, and you have scatter on your hands taking hours sometimes days to retrieve the majority of your team if your lucky... food for thought
clockman Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Training toss 9. lib at 12.15 good luck,
jake12 Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Birds liberated at 12 noon, the batch split with 1/2 leaving for loft and the others flew for 10/15 mins then split again with one batch heading for home. At 12:56 a large number started to land (about 450) "well done to wuldon for first Scottish arrival" there is still 50 birds missing (2 scottish) Jose did not say why the birds split but stated that there was no falcon attack this time. Good luck for the next toss everyone. "Seashore" "Homer" for Scotland arrived at 13:20 on second day. It`s been a good toss with 13 short from the 1023 sent. The next toss is from 55km. Best of luck to everyone. ^_^ "Seashore"
