shweet
I have decided against doin the darkness system because of work hours making it difficult for me but am gutted that I am not gonna be able to enter in to the later races because of the birds falling to bits. My question is, If I bred some late breds lets say around 12 or 13 weeks before the last 2 races would the birds still be holding there feathers enough to be entered and would they be old enough to have been trained enough and be entered ? :-/
Wizzer
They will be old enough however should have some experience of racing before you march them to the final and probably the furthest race of the year. Is it a inland race or is it cross the channel?

Tony C
I've has some good races at the back end of young bird racing with natural youngsters. They've finished the body moult by then and if you can get them sitting eggs it slows up the wing moult, you should be able to pick a few out up or around half way on their 8th flight.
