I got a yb bird back today from Scotch Corner in august well i say got it back as i was early shift today and got to the loft at 2.20pm and heard there was a cheq on my yb loft but couldnae see anything but after feeding the hens in the yb loft i seen the tell tale sign of the sparrowhawk having a kill :emoticon-0179-headbang: The poor wee doo had only came back and got nailed in front of the big loft by her the poor wee fkr :(

 

awe well i hope she has a good feed at it the dirty bassa

the bastid thing...i hope it chokes on a bone and dies.

 

Poor wee bird decided to come home for a good meal b4 cold snap and instead it ends up dinner :cry-blow:

they sure are

had mine out yesterday within 10 mins the male falcon was after them he went off the hen came she got chased off by crows ten minutes later the male was back

leave the carcass out with a little sweetner on it the sparrowhawk always comes back for seconds

I can't understand why you felt the need to post about culling the bird. Nobody knows what the bird had been through to get home and alf was quite rightly upset that it made it only to be taken by a bop. Personally I keep pigeons because I love them and could not contemplate disposing of one that had battled home somehow! Each to their own I suppose.
