alex young Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Does anybody know if there's any new write ups or dvd's about him? I have his old video but it is poor quality picture wise.Cheers.
Rooster J. Cogburn Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Alastair McNaughton and Jim Jack are in the process of compiling a write up on him.Should be out and about in the next few weeks I'd think.

Not before time, this man has been the top flier in the North West fed for many years. One of the best in Scotland in fact.

Yes theres not really anybody around that can touch him at the minute.Even when the likes of the Conroy Bros, the Stewart Bros,Big Duncan Ferguson and Joseph and Hugh McGlynn were on the stoat(back when I was a boy ) he was beating them way more often than they were beating him. Heard some say he is the best to ever fly in the fed, although its difficult to compare him to fanciers of old.

Hes the best fancier ive ever known in the N.West fed Lewis although he isnt too consistent at the nationals .Saying that, his nat record is still very good and he was 2nd Open Falaise 2004 and 5th Open Maidstone 2012, superb.

Thats irrelevant though, hes been the man to beat in the fed as long as I've kept pigeons .When my dad first started with them I believe it was Rab Hamilton that was top dog.Lots of great fanciers past and present(too many to list).Just got take your turn if/when it comes Well done Tommy on another great season look forward to the write up
lightning fast Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Tam does not 2 bad at the nats considering he only goes to about 2 a year for the past 5 years . He also missed them altogether a few years ago when his wife was not well, iv been racing since 2003 in the north west and he's been the best by mile, since then , like most Scottish Feds there top flyers don't get the recognition !

AR Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Tam in my opinion is one o the best allrounders in Scotland if not the best. As for nationals when he sends he almost always times in and never to far away. If he was racing in England he'd be hot topic.
