Ive been thinking about how to beat the BOP problem and this is what ive came up with. There is a product called ANTI-PEK, used to stop birds from feather pulling .It has a foul taste to it and repels the bird from pulling at its feathers. Now, if we sprayed a drop of this on every single pigeon going to every race, everywhere in the UK, every week then im sure, in time, the BOP would be repelled from killing pigeons and may change its food chain. The Anti-Pek will not harm the BOP, only repel them from pigeons, so no laws are being broken and we are only trying to change the way the BOP views pigeons as a food source. What do you think????

bops have hunted and killed pigeons from the time thay took to the skys.bops also have a very good brain in their heads and would find a way to overcome this. as the meat on the birds would taste just the same.it would not take them long to find another way of killing and ripping our birds to bits i am sorry to say.

BioLink Stop Peck 250ml Trigger Spray

Price (including VAT) :

£7.75 Each

Biolink Stop Peck is available as a 250ml trigger spray, making it perfect for application onhens which have been attacked and injured by others. Stop Peck is so unpalatable that within a few days, aggressive birds should stop their feather pecking behaviour, and they quickly learn that harassed victims are not to be touched. By making the vulnerable birds taste unpleasant,Stop Peck prevents the onset of cannibalism but is also food safe and non tainting.

In many cases, Stop Peck is a great alternative to bitting birds, particularly for small scale operations in which feather pecking is a minor problem.

Weight: 250g

very good idea Derek but if you could get a formula a bit stronger that every bird would be made to carry it in every club and on every race day we would soon know if we where on top of it also can you imagine the RSPB when there streeters are no getting attack not that they do any how and they will have no need to have bop in the towns l

i am sure there must be some thing that could be fed to the pigeon that makes the meat taste rank we just to state racing pigeons are not fit for human consumption

i know there was stuff that you fed them that made them turn color but would be great if we could get them to taste of high quality salt
