Guest maricelbill Posted August 28, 2012 Report Posted August 28, 2012 any solutions? i understand your concerns photocopying. let it with me a while perhaps i can have it transcribed over there. I'll check around. would that be acceptable do you feel? it is only a few hours work to an accomplished typist and transcriber. i could then have it re set here in book form. expensive bloody book :>) 128 pages
jimmy_bulger Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 why not photograph each page and then email it over for you to put together. just a thought
andy Posted August 29, 2012 Report Posted August 29, 2012 Go to your local library, thats where i read it. If they dont have it they'll get it in for you.
Guest maricelbill Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 it can't be got Andy it's out of print. I have spoken to one fancier who "has one someplace" this is his busy time will fetch it at a later stage. I understand the concerns and in the end I will have it transcribed if the present owner is agreeable. Or even read into a dictaphone. With good will there is a solution. I'l wait for the fancier who does have one to sort out. No immediate rush. B'

I was expecting a pm aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!i didnt "nick" anything ,the book wasnt yours Bill .you had been on site and not replied ,which seemed strange ? i notice youve requested it else-where ,and i believe been offered a copy .i hope you enjoy reading it as much as i intend to . good luck for the future .
Guest maricelbill Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 I've been ages looking for it. All over the world. Of course it wasn't my book :cry-blow: But I had my dreams :cry-blow: And now we'll never be together :cry-blow:
Guest maricelbill Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 of course if you wish to be self righteous about it, you piggybacked my post. Rude. A simple PM might have been courteous.
andy Burgess Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 of course if you wish to be self righteous about it, you piggybacked my post. Rude. A simple PM might have been courteous.i replied on your post Bill its an open forum ? nothing "rude" about my way ,i did in fact send a PM to Ian ,who in turn waited and had no response from you , and i asked if you didnt come forward ,could i have the chance to read it ,and he agreed .there is another site member who says he may have a copy ? i see no response to him ? what of the other copy youve been offered ,have you taken that or the other one above ? please dont get upset or be "rude" yourself ,i think theres no need at all.
Guest maricelbill Posted October 10, 2012 Report Posted October 10, 2012 I was kidding with you about the damn book. but your reply was a tad righteous so the devil on my shoulder whispered "hold on a minute" .In fairness, you could as easily sent a PM to me as to Ian. I would suggest that book never entered your thoughts until you read my post and you decided to piggyback. You knew from other sites I was still searching. I had expected either a PM from the book owner or an automated email alert that a reply had been made in the forum. This I found happens on other sites. I have been promised all sorts with that book. I am as yet bookless. I do expect the latest promise from Monday last to come to pass. i replied on your post Bill its an open forum ? nothing "rude" about my way ,i did in fact send a PM to Ian ,who in turn waited and had no response from you , and i asked if you didnt come forward ,could i have the chance to read it ,and he agreed .there is another site member who says he may have a copy ? i see no response to him ? what of the other copy youve been offered ,have you taken that or the other one above ? please dont get upset or be "rude" yourself ,i think theres no need at all.
