Computer Screen Freezing

We are having problems with the computer screen freezing a lot,I know it is mainly because of broken or corrupt registry files and things like that,does anybody know a free program to fix this or one they can really recommend that works when purchased.cheers

http://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10401314.html then download this programme spybot make sure you download the correct thing when opening this link it sit's on the left a green box keep this on your computer for ever and make sure you run a scan weekly

 

I hope you have anti virus protection on your computer make sure you run a full scan as a quick scan sometimes doesn't pick up all viruses

 

after you have done all that tomorrow run the programme's called disk cleaner then followed by disk defragmenter

I like the Super anti-spyware Frank and use it at least once/week.If you tick the box "do not create a start menu folder" when installing it,it won't start up when you start your comp.all I do is click on shortcut/update and scan.

For virus i use the free version of AVG its one of the best. AVG Anti-Virus

 

and AD-Aware to remove spyware etc ad-aware

my laptop is crippled with viruses,but i can still surf the net when you boot up keep tapping f5 or f8 (depending on laptop) go into safe mode with network.all you can do is surf the net,you cant download anything and no sound but better than buying new laptop

you can fix this by returning everything to it's original state before it was infected with viruses. if your not to clued up your local pc company will help you. Stay away from pc world they charge a fortune.

mate im not to bad with pc's but no expert at same time.ive tried restoring to factory settings no joy,pc world gave me 3 recovery discs ive tried them but no joy,all im getting is not responding everytime i click on somthing.ive ran out of ideas now so just use safe mode
