No 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 NORFOLK & SUFFOLK with Trevor (White Feather) Harris Well, what’s happening? Serious racing has not started up yet when we get the longer races across the channel - the 400, 500, 600 mile races. I would like to highlight across the channel not some little river, stream or duck pond water, as many fanciers racing north will only have to face. There are no houses, trees or other buildings for pigeons to land on to take a rest if they are tired so a 400 mile race on the north rd is a lot easier than a 400 mile race on the south and that is a fact. Club or National racing Well if someone wins a 55 mile race out of 100 pigeons and someone comes 1000th or even 8000th out of 8000 pigeons in a National race who is the best flyer? The Easter Bunny tells me it is the fancier who wins the 55 mile club race. Well the Easter Bunny is not in the real world nor are a lot of fanciers, so come on chaps do more National racing and compete against the best or do you still want to carry on winning all these short club races and think you are the best? Wha utter rubbish.
Guest MOSAIC2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Whats wrong with club racing its just as good winning in the club and its best to be winning in the club before you start national racing imo
Guest MOSAIC2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 Im not a national flyer at all il start the nationals when i start winning in the club
whiteflighted Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 had a little luck in club but no where good enough for nationals either
REDCHEQHEN Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 The NFC has got there shortest fliers to - er 170 miles (evil)
Guest MOSAIC2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 had a little luck in club but no where good enough for nationals either takes time unless you have money to buy the best
No 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 How Les Parkinson can let this dribble go on his site is unbelievable, very childish attitude, I bet White Feather still lives with his parents & bats the other way.
Guest MOSAIC2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 whats childish about it i think im missing something
Guest strapper Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 i think we would like to know from where he bases his facts....white feather
No 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 When we fly from Lerwick back to Norwich, our birds in a west wind will only go over approx 60 miles of land, we don't need any houses to stop on though !!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 you haven't got to fly nationals to prove anything, :-/ if your club is jam packed full of top flyers that's all you might want to do. For you to try and tell people what their asperations should be is wrong, its up to the individual. A club win to some is as good as a national to others as its not about ego, for many its simply about taking part. I got 7th fed week before last over real water but wanted more, my partner was more than satisfied as we took first club by a way so its a healthy combination of realism and ambition, maybe one day we'll enter one or three nationals but it will be if we want to not because we're provoked into it by someone like you who suggest we aren't real flyers because we don't wish to race nationals. :'(
whiteflighted Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 no 1 were you on about me when you said white feather
No 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Author Report Posted June 8, 2009 No, read the topic heading !!!!!!!!!!! How do you spell red backwards ?
whiteflighted Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 sorry i thought you were having a pop at me
Roland Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 NO1 your opening post just show how little you really know or understand. In a West wind, and depending on the strength of the wind North road pigeons fly 300 - 400 miles or more over water! Fact! Now when you can work that out maybe you won't need to, nor come on here to spout rubbish.
Guest MOSAIC2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 no need to be so aggresive roland behave
Roland Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 National are for the chosen few, just their location. So what! ... many Feds are harder to win and have a lot more birdage! Up North has a lot, but most sweeping into on line areas. Now when a loft is a 150 miles to the West than many, then you see real flying. South is a lot easier Rd. to fly than South for starters and I fly both.
Roland Posted June 8, 2009 Report Posted June 8, 2009 no need to be so aggresive roland behave Mind your own.
