To be quite honest, since I started up 2001/2 time, I think the wind here has been predominantly easterlies. When I was at school, I was taught the prevailing winds were south westerlies. Not any more methinks.

Its normally the case we get a flow of nor'easterlies for the first month of racing then it swings round to westerlies be it backed by north/southerlies. The wheel has fell off that this year and as a result a lot of people have been struggling obtaining and/or maintaining form in their lofts. Up till now its being a testing year and thats for sure.

Did hear tle that the weather was changing, and a such Eastlies will become the predominate winds.

If that indeed does become the norm, then I can also see a vast amount moving to the west for a change lol

east winds always have and always will throw up some upside down races with birds ending up all over the place , has always been the same as far as i can remember , even when we got to worcester or cheltenham somtimes you would get an east wind and you woulds time a bloody latebreed and your proven birds would not appear , some get them some dont , its just part and parcel . some ye win some ye loose
