Had a phone call today about a baby pigeon that is injured and kids throwing it about. Got it back home and checked it over it looks like its leg is broken as it cannot walk and its swollen, feeding well and drinking got it in a cage on its own but what is the best thing to do for its leg. Just wish I saw the kids doin it .

hello Michael , you can make a splint from match-sticks or similar and use sticking plasters to form a splint . it will limp still but should be able to support itself well enough ,you can remove the splint atfter about 10 days . there is a chance if not done correctly the leg may well repair with a thickened appearance (as no ring fitted) this wont be a problem. thanks for being kind enough to rescue it . well done. :emoticon-0137-clapping:
