Important - Vmd - Prescription Only/Unlicensed Products

All,

 

following an "anonymous" tip off this morning our home was visited by members of the Veterinary Medicines Directorate compliance teams on the allegation we had Unlicensed/Prescription Only Medications for pigeons on the premises and were involved in the supply of the same.

 

As a Federation Secretary (with no pigeons after our ECS) naturally we had no products for pigeons in the home. The visitors were polite and only doing their job and were surprised when advised we had no pigeons (something their informant forgot to mention in their poisonous phone call/letter).

 

We were advised that the VMD will have an increased presence at Blackpool this weekend and my advice to anyone going to Blackpool who may be involved in the supply of/looking to buy POM's/Unlicensed products be careful what you do and say.

 

Do not walk up to stall holders and compromise them by asking "My mate gets Baytril/Emtryl/Orni Special etc. from you - can i have 5 bottles" as you are just creating problems for potentially innocent people and yourself.
