Just look at how us English voted for Alan Wells, Liz McLoughlin, Chris Hoy etc. as 'Sports Personality ogf the Year' etc. Seem we English never have problems giving credit where credit is due and VOTING as such.... Sorry I suppose the Above all of a sudden became Brits. They always were, but were VOTED as and always mentioned as Scots, voiced as Scots, as was the great Mary Peters! So just where the crap scenario has took hold of is from the odd once and then convienently taken out of concept.

Like trying to get a Scot to name the 5th famous Scot lol

As Just when have the Scots / Welsh  Irish for that matter ever won a World team Game. Certainly not at Fotball, and the Welsh - supposedly great rugby players haven't shine at that level for sure.

And of course the next world Rugby tournament will no doubt be just the English side representing the British.

So we are English and the most we can do, and you all keep hollaring for it, is to say British .... then you all struggle with your own question... for you've never won a Team game! Come to think of it, only ever got to the tournements twice between you all lol  ;D ;D

 

So of course it makes no odds English or to gve you all a litle of or limelight British lol. ;D

 

 

roland to be fair the size and population of england far out weighs the size of wales,so comparing the two at levels in sport cannot fairly be measured.

 

but i wouldnt be too bullish about us not having won a world team win under our belts ..remember how ever small a country we are compared to england we still can handle to beat a big country like yours at rugby now and again  ;D ;D

 

oh by the way...when was the england football team ever realisticly able to win a world cup since 1966?

the press build the team and players up too much..which is why they think they are better than they are...and thats not an insult to the players but at the press make them believe.

world class players but cant play as a team.

ok some wins ..but when it comes to major tournaments they havent the will power to win.

i think capello has seen this and started to install a no nonsense approach..which can only be good for the team..but ony time will tell.

Strapper, as England is so much Bigger - population wise - than all the the other UK countries put together I'd think, we therefore have more votes to cast. Like voting Lynn Davis as S.P.O Y. etc. just shows we English are only to happy to be fair and recognise a great.

Yes Liz McColgan, not been one like her since, and seldom ever before - Paula ratcliffe at the Marathon obviously - How Liz took the African mighty distance runners on and refused to be led and let the pace drop, fill everyone with pride and admiration. Yes she ran them into the ground. Look at the Stewart Family! Ian, Peter and Mary ALL greats! And many more of course.

I remember the Welsh Rugby stars getting the nodd and voted for and being SPOY too. In all and every case there was, and obviously always will be, English players etc that demand respect and could  - justifiably often - have been voted for.

Yet the English are renowned for bending over backwards to be fair even at cost to them selve and NO ONE can argue with that realistic proven fact.

Yet we still will run the guantlet ever time we excel at something.

Been asked that question before . Far as I know , only South Africa matches tickets left .

Dont even know how much they are or where it can be obtained from as I am not into Soccer .
