The Downfield Friendly Racing Pigeon Club once gain through an internet auction courtesy of Pigeon Basics would like to offer to the fancy a superb draft of 2012 young birds (unless otherwise stated) :D

 

Once the sale list has been posted by Clockman which will be tomorrow morning, it can then be witnessed that the absolute cream of pigeons have been donated from only the best winning lofts throughout the UK!

 

The money raised will be added to our Club funds, where members have been budgeting now for 2 years saving up to replace our current porta-cabin we use as clubrooms, which has seen better days.

 

The auction will begin as soon as the sale list is posted tomorrow and will end on Sunday 18th december 2011 at 8.59.59pm with no 5 minute rule.

 

We would prefer bids to be posted on the thread, PM bids to either myself Wuldon or Clockman will be accepted up to Saturday 17th December 2011 until 9pm :)

 

May i take this opportunity on behalf of all our members in thanking all the donors of the young birds and pigeons, who without there support small Clubs would struggle to exist in this current climate...

Lot 1.W.Gray & Son, Coldstream… what a cracker to start the sale from a loft that has won 2x1st SNFC National races and now 60 open Diploma awards. 2011 was no exception winning with SNFC

 

Marlbourough 456th, 491st Open

Messac 1st Section, 4th Open (only 12 birds on the night)

The loft won the prestigious ‘Robert Telfer Award’ for Best Average all SNFC races, they also won SNFC Region B Averages, SNFC East Section Averages, SNFC Old Bird Averages.

Lot 4.Andy Miller, Edinburgh… top top SNFC loft who’s results just get better year after year, 2011 highlight for Andy was accomplishing any fanciers dream of winning the Scottish National Flying Club, in fine style 1st Open SNFC Ypres… only well deserved after his near miss with ‘Denis the Menace’ which was 2nd Open SNFC Reims.

This fantastic pair of Camphius Janssens of Curtis, Wall, Lunt & Green origin are grandparents of 37x1st Fed/Joint Fed winners in birdages up to 10,592 birds since 1999,

Lot 11.C.Crowe, Ratho… Colin has kindly donated a youngster which will be bred from his stock loft and from his winning family of Gaby Vandenabeele pigeons orinating from M&D.Evans ‘Myrtle lofts’, DJ.Hawkins, G.Warman.

 

These pigeons have won many Club & Fed prizes for Colin who regularly wins the first 3-6 positions in the Club, in the last couple of season they have won 11x1st Fed in the strong Central Fed.

 

Colin also sent to the RPRA One Loft Race where from the Final his first entrant won 40th Open bid £35 midge thanks

 

 

Lot 12.Bamling & Earl - Quarry Lofts - Co.Durham… Jimmy always sends his best for our sales, and a lot of fanciers are winning out of turn with his fantastic family of pigeons!

Jimmy is a regular winner of many firsts and silverware in his Club & Fed,

12 x 1sts,12 x 2nds,13 x 3rds,12 x 4ths from 21 races

Also 2 x 1st,2 x 2nd,2 x 3rd Federation & 2 x 1st Fastast on the Day in Durham Combine upto 4000+ birds all in 2011 and also has previously won 3 x 1st Open in the mighty Durham Combine!

Lot 13.A.McCalley & Son, Avonbridge… an up and coming top SNFC loft who have only rentered the sport two seasons ago, who in the past have flown and won with there pigeons right out to Lille with the Scottish Central Combine.

 

This year was there first season racing gain with the SNFC, and they won…

Lot 15.A.Whittaker, Methil… only last season did Austin win 1st Open SNFC Ypres, and a previous winner of the ‘Fife Federation Fancier of the Year Award’ on more than one occasion.

Federation members, Dave has flown a consistent pigeon for a numbers of years

at all distances, in recent years these results have been surpassed by his more recent family of 'Famous Mealy's', these pigeons have won 1st Federation from

43 - 542 miles, some recent results are 1st Federation, 6th Section, 47th Open SNFC Falaise 2009; this hen brother was 1st Federation, 1st Section, 8th Open SNFC Clermont 2010, this same cock was 13th Section, 35th Open SNFC Eastbourne.
