Guest strapper Posted December 13, 2011 Report Posted December 13, 2011 DWH. My pool bird is very rarely beaten by a loft mate and very few in a race no matter the distance.Regarding Amoxicillan, perhaps because of misuse by this drug and others our birds have lost their immunity. well maybe your's have but mine and others I have had the pleasure of looking after have never experienced y/b sickness nor many of the ailments posted on Basics. hi peter ..maybe you have been fortunate enough to avoid sickness..i havent had it for 3-4 years but i have in the past.as you state yourself ...missue of drugs is destroying the immune system...but not all that use drugs and as i stated earlier ...drugs dont do the damage fanciers do!...like anything else if its used correctly then there will be very few incidents if any where the drugs that is used can be blamed.how many tablets or other types of meds have you or your family had over the years from doctors?..most probably a fair amount but it doesnt mean we are missusing them if we are using them...if we follow the correct procedure.

Tony C Posted October 20, 2013 Report Posted October 20, 2013 I'm led to believe that amoxicillin is hard to mix in water?. Add vinegar to the water which helps suspend antibiotics.
