Novar club rooms 7pm.

 

The purpose of this meeting is to get some ideas as to how we as members can make the fed work in a better way.

 

The feeling from a lot of members is that we are on a slippery slope down, and that we need to act now, for the sake of the future of our fed.

 

Please come along, and lets band about some ideas.

 

This has been done now, as at the agm it becomes manic, and some members feel threatened if they suggest anything. If we do this now prior to the agm in january, we can have ideas ironed out and everyone has an idea of what is being proposed.

 

Please pass this about so that we can get as many members as we can.

agree there, we have three feds within say 40 mile here all travelling down the road most weeks on there own and once again in most cases half empty... members are being lost every year by every fed in the UK, we must start getting together and keeping the costs sensible... plus bigger libs should mean some better racing! remember the amalgamation days!

Totally agree with this but as always you get the old argument which race controller are we going to use who is going to do this who is going to do that Before all these get sorted out there will not be enough birds or faciers to fill a transit van

move your young bird season forward less clashing and not so many percy about in june season will be over by july but you might have some youngbirds left for the following season

Hopefully there will be a good turn out to discuss different topics and ideas. I know there is an interest in the amalgamation starting back up again, but first and foremost its the feds interests that need to be addressed, so that we can fly our birds in the best possible way.

Had a few phone calls regarding this meeting which is encouraging. This is not an emergency meeting called by the fed, its as it says "informal" arranged by members within the fed, to band about some ideas to help the future of the fed.

Cheers Tooshy, just gives everyone a chance to speak in a comfortable way. No pressure's, the feedback has been very positive, so heres hoping we gain some good ideas, which i,m sure we will.

This is the response from the federation secretary:

 

No problem I will forward this to all my emails I have, I will not be able to make the meeting, but perhaps you could bring up, that if members supported the events we have at the minute maybe the club would not be in this situation. With only 15 members of the fed going to the dance (this does not include partners) its quite sad.
