i recently , 3 days ago aquired 3 pairs for stock , they was together in their old home but mine a seperated ,so i seperated them once home , but i noticed this yearling mealy hen heavy panting and very skittish looking around to take off all the time,i seperated her again in seperate section and locked in box alone nice and quiet,fed and watered alone , she seemed ok next day so put back with hens , but within seconds she started panting again , very skittish,fast and strong and hard to handle and catch

, any advice on offer guys plz ??

I find nerves is reason...... Mibi new surroundings is making bird pant!!

 

Maybe someone else will say otherwise but my birds often pant when i a show pen then settle down. Also shake too but it settles after 5-10 mins

i would agree , stress at being in unfamiliar surroundings . if she was settled in the box , maybe try her back in for a few days and if possible spend some time talking and handling her .hopefully then she will settle , best of luck.
