Guest strapper Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 before the laughter stops..lol..a club m8 who has two nest m8s paired together..two cocks. these two cocks have topped the fed, infact the one cock topped the fed the one week then two weeks later they both come home together , the other cock was clocked 1st then the 2nd cock.. that cock was 1st fed 2nd cock(that topped the fed 2 weeks b4)was 3rd fed. these two cocks have proved extremely hard to split up, but he eventually did it. this is true!
mosslands1 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 hiya big grizzle cock ive had cocks pair together a few times and hens they race ok the best way is two Bi cocks paired then tease them with the hen just show them both before you basket them for race and keep well out of the way when they return from race they will be like rockets good luck
Glancy+Jones Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 we had 2 ybs pair together this year, they were nestmates. think if they never shared a section with hens they would have stayed together. maybe thats the trick?
billt Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 I thought this site would be helpful as i am new to the sport but i see its just full of jokers!...Is there any REAL pigeon men on this site with helpful advice? Probaly thought your site name was a wind up, you'll get used to our humour on here ;D
Guest frank dooman Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 sory big griz. at first i thought it was a wind up we get hawk lovers on her on a reg bassis at the wind up your ques is prob a good one as andy says some of us have reacted with humour i think some of us have on occiations had the odd queer cock in the loft i supose they are the same as humans (no snide remarks please ) and when this happens it can be used as a very good motivator but to try and force cocks together wont work for one thing ive noticed this only happens with the widdow cocks when they are right at the top of condition and not allowed to see any hens wich shows like humans 99% of them are stright and i dont think you can change that but please keep us up-to date on this one i suppose when the widdowhood came out the old doo men were the same about that
blackdog Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 if your new to the sport mate why not have a go at the roundabout system first and see how things go, im sure you will get one or two pairing on together after a few weeks, not only cocks but a few lesbian hens as well which will be very hard to beat when right
No 1 Posted January 21, 2010 Report Posted January 21, 2010 It's a system you will have to start next year, this years youngsters will have to be kept seperate, hens and cocks to be kept apart, you can then freely pair them next season, some will pair cock to cock, same with the hens, you really need four sections, 1 for gay cocks, 1 for lessy hens, remove all that do not pair to the other two sections, fly those on a round about system, they will also be good for motivating the gay/lessy sections.

Shortcut Lofts Posted January 22, 2010 Report Posted January 22, 2010 Preparing birds for Blackpool show i had 8 cocks in one section with pipo boxes, dont know why but the cocks started to chase one another, maybe it was down to them being in such good condition this time of year. I put plastic eggs in corners of the loft section and they started sitting them right to the day i lifted them for the show. I can only put it down to birds being in "Super Form". I also had racing cocks do this before while on Widowhood, I never set out to pair them it happened naturally so I dont know how it works only it happened to me while the cocks were in Top Condition.
