have noticed old and young birds sometimes kicking back their legs while preening.i know stamping of their feet is to do with having worm's. would like to know if this is the same ?

Probably a parasite of some sort, get some Chlorcarb and dip them, that should sort them

they have been recently spotted on the back of the neck with easytox drops

I don't think it's anything to do with internal or external parasites, it's just a bahaviour or mannersim that all birds do for reasons best known to themselves.
