sapper756 Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 I think it would be interesting for members to post how many birds are away from their Federation/Amal/Combines etc, and how many members there are in each. This is on the back of last weeks Aberdeen Federation who only had 154 birds for the whole membership. How can such Feds survive, with the cost of transporting such small birdage as they go further down the road? Wiley Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 i do not know about our federation, however my club sent 337 birds, 17 members last night, do not find out about the federation until after mondays

Wiley Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 826 last week mate, down roughly 100 birds from the race the week previously, young bird sickness is rife at the moment around here, and will be even less this week, my club alone 5 members never sent this week for one reason or another
Ian McKay Posted August 13, 2011 Report Posted August 13, 2011 Aberdeen Federation members pay all fees and birdage up front so the financial aspect is covered What does concern me is how many will give up with disasters like this every week There is no joy in keeping pigeons to get wiped every week I too am considering whether I will carry on Members are getting wiped from training tosses from 35ml in all my time in pigeons I have never known a season like it I expect this weeks birdage to be about 120 for the FED :emoticon-0179-headbang:

For a few years now Aberdeen fed has had more than its fair share of bad racing. Is there one cause or are there many things that is contributing to Aberdeen have so many bad races?? I may be wrong but the North of Scotland fed just a little bit up the road tend to have very good racing whilst fanciers in Aberdeen are having a hell of a time.
