alec guinness Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Any body got any good articles on the Van Den Broucke/Deweerdt pigeons?? lewis Reg Christopher of fontmella magna won the national flying club from Nantes in the 60s with these doos,great team performances,they also flew well for Wilson & Mcshane from E/Kilbride,ma pal hugh martin of martin & king shotts had a sprinkling of these which won well in the lanarkshire fed and the SNFC,we had a good dk cheq cock from hugh which had 8 firsts for me and dad also topping the section from cheltenham,nice calm type of birds they were lewis,memories. ;)

Heard that Jock Reid had a pair brought over for him by "Old Hand". This pair were responsible for "Daphnes Delight" and the pigeon that was 3rd open SNFC from the same race for Jock Reid

This pair were responsible for "Daphnes Delight" and the pigeon that was 3rd open SNFC from the same race for Jock Reid I thought Daphnes Delight was of Delbar Breeding but i could be wrong.Fred Mc cluskey of Silksworth in sunderland had some cracking vandenbrouckes in the Early Eighties i am sure he won the unc with one of them.

Guest stb- Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 daphnes delight was a delbar from a jock reid import small little hen i was told I served my time as a bricklayer under reddy nash OR james as some called him so got all the details on the pigeons ,aw day every day
