Hi Guys

I can fix a broken leg a lot quicker than your idea's

You require

1 roll of Plaster of Paris bandage

Cotton wool

Saucer with small amount of water

Plan

Cut the plaster bandage into quarter inch strips

Lightly coat the leg which you set in cotton wool (its to stop plaster sticking to leg)

Dip quarter inch strips into water lift out immediately wrap it over cotton wool pulling it reasonably tight

It takes a few seconds to harden build it up till you have a nice plaster boot exactely as a hospital does with a broken arm or leg

I have been using it for 30 yrs never failed bird will walk on leg within days

Plaster bandage available on E-Bay 1 roll will last a long time provided it is kept in house and DRY

Hope this helps

i use a large drinking straw split down the middle cut to lenght it will run up along the middle toe also take a larger piece out for the top of the leg then wrap plumbers tape around

i never lock them up with one broken leg better let off around the loft unless its going to get its head ripped off by a older bird of course
