Guest stb- Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 that really is unbelievable feel for you how anybody is suppose to get a team of birds together i just don't knowyes and them thats returned are the lucky ones thats escaped there clutches , there must be 1000,s caught and eaten the other week i had 5 birds out of 21 sent all hawked at one race and one of them ended up killed bye a cat after it had its wing and tail taken out with a precie ,, bye the way this happend 15 miles from home after it had flown 150 odd miles it was the guy that picked the bird up after the hawk strikes cat that killed it , he left it under a plastic washine basket on his lawn and when he got home from work his dam cat had eaten it
big blue bar Posted July 10, 2011 Author Report Posted July 10, 2011 i read in bhw that a guy beside stirling working in a quarry found rings from a nest ( they are published in bhw )only going to get worse . tryed to get into rspb site to download photo but it keeps crashing
JohnQuinn Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 I must be very fortunate as i've only had 1 hen come back with half her tail missing, she was hit as a Yb and Yearling as well, she is a Slate Wf so maybe the flash of white attracts Percy, other than her i've no had any return injured. Got 2 yearling Ck's taken by them my first toss this year though
